| SCOPE OF TEST: |
This test method provides an indicator of temperatures obtained just below the surface of a natural grass playing system. |
| |
|
| PROCEDURE: |
The above natural grass was subjected to a 250W heat lamp suspended 12’” above the pile surface, fitted to fit beneath a 30 gallon galvanized trashcan as a conductor. Temperature readings were taken at 2-minute intervals from thermocouples buried just below the surface of the grass (root) for a period of 20 minutes. The temperature data was transmitted wirelessly by ICHM 50/50, to a laptop for analysis and recording. |
